i was asking for info on ecotec blocks os that ARP will add them to the line of studs.

here are pics of the studs i test fit today. the kit is for a VW p.n. 204-5402

Does the stud bottom out in the block?? Its crucial it does.

i got to thinking about it and and the stud itself doesn't but the threads do so i just called the tech at ARP and they said the only thing is that it needs 1.5x the thread width of thread engagement, dead space doesn't matter.

got to building the motor and realized that the stud does bottom out in the block.

about $130, which is a high retail price, if you know anyone in a shop or if you have an wholesale accounts you should be able to get them for about $80-$90

From what i can tell from there web page they also do Con Rod bolts for the 1600 16v Lanos

109-6002

I asked for shipping to South Africa, and they gave me a list of shops to buy from...... in Europe and Austrailia .... thats only a few thousand miles away :shock: :!: :!:

yes the number posted above is for the U20SE/SE, U22SE/SED, T20SED, T22SED, and all of the (iron) Opel ecotec motors in Europe.
