Other countries had different names of this car like daewoo nexia and lemans. pls help me my car frequently stalls when i change gears. i tried to increase its idling but i cannot locate the adjuster. pls help me guys. i love this car and thanks i found a forum like this.

if your car is fuel injected then you can't just adjust the idle speed through a screw or so... try to locate the real sourceo f the stalling problem and cure it rather than curing the symptoms.

yes, its an injection model. current RPM does not reach 800. its only 750rpm. whats the standard rpm for this car?im still trying to restore everything in this car coz there were modifications that i cannot understand. can anybody give me some pictures in the engine so that i could compare it to mine? is it ok the that O2 sensor be removed coz mine is gone already. the vaccum hose for the fuel regulator was also condemned but im still trying to restore it. theres no shop around here from daewoo itself since the company broke down years ago. i tried to troubleshoot it myself little by little. help badly needed.
-Be sure to use good fuel quality since this can cause stalling.
-A lazy idle air control valve can cause idle problem too. Try cleaning/lubricate it.
-Reconnect vaccuum tube to regulator.
-You say O² sensor is removed. This sould throw you a CEL and a error code *except* if the car was intended to run on leaded fuel. In this case you don't have a catalyser but you must find (on the firwall??) a CO adjuster potentiometer. It is usually covered by a yellow cap.
-Try finding your technical manual here http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5085 .
-Send some clear pics of engine bay.

see my engine at www.reyhal.multiply.com. Please do comment. btw, the air intake hose is already replaced with a new but different one. i'll take pics someday.
Is "check engine" light ON when key is on start and OFF when engine is running?
Does "check engine" light comes ON or BLINKING while driving?
Did you already try to read stored error codes from ECU? This could be done by the "paper clip" method.
You can find in the "engine controls" section of service manual usefull infos about reasons for engine stalling.

I already removed the IAC valve and its full of sludge. have noticed too the its rod is hard to push or pull, is it right? whats the correct movement of the valve? how to clean/lubricate this? i tried spraying a WD40 with it to remove the slude inside.
In my dashboards, there is no check engine light on when the engine is already running. i had no problem starting my car, it starts quickly. i cannot read the error codes because i dont have a diagnostic tool to read it. is there other tool i can use to read it?
-by the way, i already connected the vaccum lines on the fuel regulator. i use unleaded gasoline with a +93 octane based on my country's standard.

IAC: Yes the rod is hard to push. Clean all that sludge on pintle aswell on seat. WD-40 is OK. Perform a search with "seafoam" keyword on this forum and you'll find how to clean that.REY04 wrote:I already removed the IAC valve and its full of sludge. have noticed too the its rod is hard to push or pull, is it right? whats the correct movement of the valve? how to clean/lubricate this? i tried spraying a WD40 with it to remove the slude inside.

A standard starting distance from flange to pintle is 28mm. Thenafter ECU will learn correct idle position.
CEL: To read error codes on ALDL systems you can try (under your responsability) the paper-clip method. http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl8192/8192hw.htm . Look also at our how-to section here: http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5001 .
Is your stalling problem only present when engine is warm? Then check coolant level, coolant and air temperature sensors.

their is a full how to topic for IAC cleanup... and yes it will be hard to move by hand and too much force will break it, put its socket back and turn ignition key to ON... the vlave stem should move in and out for initialization

@MMAmdouh - when i tried to put the socket back and ignition key On, the valve stem did move but on its way out only. it keeps on extending and not going back in for initialization. is this unusual?

I personally don't know where those lines are supposed to go... but I'd suggest you plug them immediatly until such time as you figure out where they are supposed to go.
Basicly with them open like that your creating a vacuum leak in the intake manifold.... which will also make your car run like crap.
If you go to an autoparts supplier and ask for rubber vacuum tube caps they should be able to get you what you need
Alternatively you can also use a piece of hose and insert a tight fitting bolt in the end.... usually they work just as good as a cap.
