I think Tom has you beat on the "poor fuel mileage" challenge..... last night he found out his wideband isn't throwing out a signal so the ECU is dumping massive amounts of fuel into the engine.
I would bet he's almost getting gallons per mile
He said he had to drop the fuel pressure to a miniscule 5psi just so that it would run !!!! (he needed the engine running to see if the voltage coming off the Innovative wideband was moving around...which it wasn't )
Even before the wideband sensor failure he was running super rich ( 8:1 A/F ) most of the time.... since he wanted to be carefull until he managed to get the car tuned on the dyno.
We tried some street tuning but his Greddy E01 changes the digital display so quickly that it's really hard to see the A/F.... it needs to be logged on a dyno chart to get a really good idea as to where fuel needs to be trimmed or added.
I also noticed that the E01 has a bit of a delay at times.... kind of bugs me.... I'm glad I bought an analog A/F gauge
The only time it gets into a "regular range" of 12:1 A/F is under WOT with 7psi of boost.
But the good news is that the car is quick.... even in it's untuned state and him letting off at 7psi of boost and 4000 RPM he managed to keep up with my Mazdaspeed3 pretty well.... I killed him in 1st but after that it was close.
I kind of expected that he might kick my ass once the engine is tuned (since his car weighs about 1000 lbs less than mine

) but my limited slip differencial sure makes a difference..... I will easily have him by a car length or more in first gear before he can hook up.
Of course once he beats me I will be forced to modify my MZR to ensure that he doesn't get too cocky
