Would anyone near TN be interested in meeting at Bristol?
My friends and I love going to Bristol to watch the street fights...I was thinking that if there were enough people near Bristol TN that would be willing to drive down we could go up there and race each other and get to know a little bit about each other in person...as well as check out our rides. Just thought I'd throw this out. A friend of mine is working (head mechanic) for a performance shop opening on Center street in Kingsport. It's gonna be called European Autosports I believe. Anyway, the point of this is I am going to talk to him and the owner about doing something with my car and the turbo setup I want to run. They are getting a brand new dynojet and new lifts and crap....It's gonna be a sweet shop. I'm hoping I can get them to let me be an advertisement for them or something. I would love it if they would help me install and tune my turbo for like 1,000 bucks or so. I already have the parts except for the fuel system so...maybe just maybe I can actually have a turbo woo by Christmas. Wouldn't that be a sweet present!

I've got plenty of contacts in the area in anything you might need, be it for his business or for your setup...
We may need to get together for a mini-woo meet with the three of us
I've got friends with good cameras so we can get some good pictures for DT, my site, your friend, etc. I'd like to pit my woo against another Lanos anyway... be it at street fights, at Cherokee (Rogersville), or maybe more towards Knoxville (Knox dragway, I40, 81 Motorsports park, etc)
We can also plan for a NC woo meet when High Rock opens up... they broke ground a couple weeks ago

Yeah, I'd love to race a manual lanos or any other daewoo for that matter, I've never raced anything besides honda's mitsu's and neon's. I've only ridden/drove automatic daewoo's. I have been looking for a sport model with the five speed cause someone told me the ratios were a tad closer in the sport than the standard five speed. but the price for a good one runs around 3500 or more.

I saw the one on ebay and sent them a message about possibly paying for the shipping if I did the bin thing payments would only be like 120 a month and I could pay it off in spring if I play it smart with my school money.
haha...not much right now...I took off my rai and reinstalled the factory intake and enlarged the hole so I can pull more air from the fender. I got a ractive muffler and I am in the process of getting a true catback (right now it's just the part from the resonator back). I am also going to try and port the intake manifold/exhaust manifold this weekend. The rest of my "mods" are plans and parts sitting in my floor. lol...Oh, I use a resistor in the iat sensor but only when I race and I don't think it really does anything. If I'm gonna be racing though then I'll definately take out the spare/stereo system/back and (possibly) passenger seatsto lighten it some. I asked you once before about good ways to improve my car and you gave me great advice but I decided to spend my savings on a few needed college classes this summer instead. Hopefully, I can use the money I get back from fall to get a few more mods. I have a question...the first o2 sensor is shot on my car...where is the cheapest place to get one? The cheapest I've found is like 80 bucks. Thanks
I have an idea that I wanted to run by you...I've been thinking about the electric supercharger thing...I know that thomas Knight makes a true one using the compressor housing of a turbo and mounting it to an 8.5 horse elec. motor. I just wanted to know if you thought that taking the motor from a leaf blower and attaching the compressor side of a turbo to it would produce any boost? It seems to me if the poor design of the impellar on it can make approx. 250 cfm that a good compressor could produce a little more and possible provide some much needed low end power in our car? I know it would probably be easier to just put on a real turbo though. By my calculations which may be wrong...my motor should pull about 230 cfm at 6000 rpm...so I would have a little boost at the start and it would drop off toward redline. I may try and hook something up to try out soon cause I have an electric leaf blower that has a broken impellar but still runs sitting in my garage.
