I was just wondering about the pistons and rods and crank...I know it is a 1.6 liter ecotec...but I wonder if the internals and block are the same as in our lanos? I was just thinking that it might be cheaper or easier to find replacement factory pistons for that engine to use in my turbo application...If they are forged parts it seems you could go on ebay and possibly find someone selling the parts from a wrecked one? and get those parts much cheaper than paying almost 1200 dollars to get the wiseco pistons and custom rods.
Anyone with knowledge of the engine I am describing please give me more info as I just spent over an hour searching and came up with nothing.
