What location???
I like the idea of Colorado.... I've never been there...... hmmm.... lets see if we can all get drunk and crash at Gse Turbo's house
I might be able to do something in late August.... my little one is growing like a weed so it should be fine if I take off for a weekend next month.
By that time Tom's car should be tuned and ready to roll.... he's very close to boosting the engine.
Well.... I guess that's technically incorrect.... he's allready boosted it a few times by accident before the stock ECU freaked out ( map sensor is not blocked yet )

i don't mind putting up a few people for a weekend! my wife might want to stay at her moms' place but that works.
if wee did meet hear i might be able to set us up with road course time. we have a 2.5 mile SCCA course a couple minutes away.
although having it in the middle of the county would be easier for more people to get to. be would just need a meet place and someone in that town that can get the ball rolling.

Well..... it was supposed to be a "North West USA" meeting.
As it stands Colorado is a really long drive for us Canadians... 1400 miles..... so probably up in the 21 hour driving range each way when Border Crossing is taken into account.
Odds are we would have to leave on a thursday morning hook up with Domwoo in Helena that night drive to Colorado friday morning to get there friday night.
Then we'd stay all saturday and leave early sunday morning (4am) to get back to Edmonton by 1am.
I unfortunatly must be back monday morning for work.... I allways have a large shipment of product that arrives monday morning and customers come in from out of town to pick it up.
So technically at 1358 miles Daewoomofo is about an hour to an hour and a half closer to Colorado than Edmonton is.
Phoenix to Colorado is just 725 miles..... so that's even closer.... so perhaps Kinkyllama would come up as well and give us some pointers on the track
I like the track idea as well.... it would be fun to throw the cars around the track.
Hmmmmmmmmm...... I'm just thinking...... you know the September long weekend would be the best bet for us.... then we don't have to drive 21 straight hours... we can split it up into two day trips both ways.
Canada and the USA both get the first monday of September off...... so that's something to think about.... plus it should be nice weather in September.... not quite as hot as August.

this is the web site for the road course. the only weekends that are still open are Oct. 13 & 27 and everything after Nov. 10. i'm not sure how far into November they got but i can find out.
we can rent the track on any week day for less the the weekend cost. i'm not sure what the cost of renting the track is but i'll check and get that posted.
here's a map of the course
it might not be a bad idea to meet more north-central for this first one and maybe start planning on a big meet at the beginning of the next race season. we could better plan and promote it so more people show and we all get our moneys worth out of the track rental.

if we wait til next season, we should try to get a couple magazines to come and do a feature on the meet.
you know what would really set the future for our car? if we issued a challenge to non-factory backed/privateer Honda racers.
it could be a Daewoo vs. Honda event,we could do different classes and have a magazine feature that!
