Radio dismounting/install for Nubira
Moderators: daewoomofo, Moderators Group
I am going to guess because I have a Daewoo Lanos. Not a Nubira.
The plastic trim around the radio unit will (probably) pry off. You could carefully try two flat blade screwdrivers.
One on each side and slowly pry. The ash tray may be in the way.
If so, remove it first. Also, if you have a cup holder below the radio unit? It could be in the way as well, remove it too.
The trim should pop off. If so ? You will find about 4 little bolts/screws that hold the radio unit in.
If you try this and something breaks ? Please remember. I am only guessing.
Hopefully, if i am correct, someone in here will verify my guess.
If I am wrong, someone in here will correct me.
Good luck !

Basic idea is same.

2000 nubira
I have a 2000 nubira with a pioneere head unit, similar to yours and i just had to pry it off. Gave me acess to everything i needed to remove the old head unit and put in the new one. Plenty of room for the wires to the amp and what not.

Haven´t find head-unit to work with steering wheel remote ctrl
Got to save some money for this -> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2678497/2
No, original steering wheel control wont work, without correct wire harness. Pioneer has on their web-site PDFlist of harnesses. I'm on work now and can't send direct link..jidasas wrote:did it work with the steering wheel control? My girlfriend had one like that installed and they told her it wouldnt work...I haven't taken it out to see yet. So, knowing if I can hook the steering wheel controls back up could save me the trouble of taking it out and finding out they won't.

I used Pioneers own remote control, and removed the original one... Check my Cardomain page4 for photos of new aftermarket remote control and head unit..
