Are there any benefits to installing a Perfect Power SMT6 or SMT 7 piggy back system on a N/A Lanos? I love the idea of being able to fully control all of my car's engine, but it seems pointless if I can't get any power or use out of it. Is there any power to be had from changing the fuel maps? Do you guys recommend the system for my soon-to-be NOS application?

The main reason for getting a piggyback with a N/A engine is if you've modified the setup ( race cams, high compression pistons )
For nitrous you definitly should consider the ZEX wet system.... it kicks ass.
Realisticly.... with a wet nitrous system all the extra fueling is done via the fuel jets.... so there isn't a whole lot required to get the Air/Fuel mixture correct.... it's just a matter of installing the correct jet size while the car is on a dyno attached to an accurate a/f metering system.
Is there more power to be had with an SMT7...... yes..... you should be able to make 150hp .... but that requires higher compression pistons and better cams.
So.... if your upgrading the internals then yes... the SMT7 will definitly help you make power.... but if your just running nitrous on the stock engine.... then you probably don't need a piggyback.
Having said all that..... it is nice to have control over the ignition timing..... with nitrous you may need to retard the ignition slightly depending on how large of a shot your planning.

I'm not sure how much you can run nitrous wise........... 35 should be no problem..... and I'd imagine that 55 would also be fine as long as it's a "wet kit" which means it's not just nitrous.... it's nitrous and fuel.
If you have anything bigger than that you may be taking a chance.... the 1.6L should be good up to 100hp/liter ( so 160hp)..... after that.... I don't know.
You might want to consider alchohol or water injection if your going with the 55shot.... it will produce similar effects to retarding the ignition.... and ensure that you don't run into problems.
The alchohol/water injection will remove a bit of horsepower as it will usually soak up a bit of the heat.... but overall the losses are fairly small compared to the gains.
If you don't want to add a water/alchohol injection system make sure they tune the car with lots of fuel.... which will help soak up heat.... also reducing max power slightly but saving your engine in the end.
Who knows.... with proper tuning a 70shot might be possible.... It's really hard to say..... you may want to use a "progressive" nitrous system where it introduces the nitrous in stages instead of in one big blast.
Basicly it brings the nitrous pressure up over a period of a second or two to lessen the impact of the immediate power surge.
I don't know who is making a "progressive" system right now..... I'm only familiar with the standard ZEX kits.
