That my friend is called a schrader valve. you can find those all over the car i.e. fuel pressure port, tires, and IN THE A/C SYSTEM!! Those can be a pain in the ass to find leaks on. Simple tool to remove them called schrader tool.lol

yeah i know... it is on tires as well but i couldn't find the actuale "valve" i replaced so i got the nearest match... it is a pointy cylinder and got some 3 or 4 circular seals arround it and ports inbetween them seals.... will try to dig my old one and take a pic of it and post it.
Update on the car. I pulled the dash apart and the cable was fine. It was actuating the flapper just fine. Flapper is fine also. With the compressor off I have 55psi on the low side. When I kick the a/c on the low goes down to 40 psi. The compressor does run and so does both fans. None of the lines get cold at all. It just blows warm air. I don't know what the hell to do. I thought about replacing the compressor but I would hate to do that and then it still blow warm. $350 is alot of money to throw away. HELP!!!!!
It’s the compressor. No way around it. I have been working on my neighbor’s Woo and came across the very same problem. But I didn’t tear the dash apart. The Woo’s use the GM V5 compressor it’s also used in the Jimmy/Blazers. The differences are the Belt pulley (how many groves are used) and the electrical plug design. I replaced his with one from a Leganza it had a different plug so I soldered the Leganza’s onto the Lanos and it works fine. I am sure you can use any one of them as long as the belt pulley is the same but you will have to replace the plug on the harness side. That is also simple it’s a 2 wire plug +/- for the electrical magnet to engage the clutch.

Very helpful information Noplugs !
Maybe a moderator will put it under "FAQ" or "How-To and Modifications"
