building up head
in the next few months im going to building my head (as soon as i get the parts for the oil priblem) where could i find valves, springs retainers, cams and cam gears. when i go to buy them what should i go for? in the valves should i get them over sized? if so how big? anything that i should get in titanium or carbon? and did they come out with the intake man. for forced induction? thanks a lot
as far as cams, pulleys, valves, retainer, ect. u can get them from piper, kent, and cat cams.
sizes i wouldn't know maybe some of the other guys might be able to help u their.
as far as forced in. man. the only one i know that specifically made for our engines
is the dBilas man. or u can buy manifold turbo combo from regal autosports, both option
require purchasing from Europe. other than that modifying a sr20, or EVO manifold, from
the research i conducted on comparing exhaust gaskets with other more popular models stateside
less work would have to be done to an EVO mani. the ports are pretty close to direct fit except
for the bottom row of bolt holes an the built in EGR on our engines is left exposed.

thanks for the bump c20one.
valves, springs and retainers should be able to be ordered from the mechine shop doing the work and the materials used are up to your wallet.
a mechine shop should be able to to order valves to the stem specs and grind your head to mach the valve face.
followers from the 2.0 and the 2.2 are the same so if needed you can find those easy and the springs might be the same also.
if for whatever reason your shop can't find a stiffer spring then they can always shim the spring to make it stiffer.
the two tips i have is that you set a budget for what this build up is worth to you and find a shop that specializes in performance heads, they will be far more willing to work with you then an average automotive mechine shop.

1.6 intake and header flange
you also mentioned an intake manifold, though there's been talk of different people wanting to build a manifold i haven't seen anyone with a finished product.
that being said, you'll need to make some custom and i offer an intake manifold flange for fuel injection and and an exhaust header flange. both are offerend in mild or stainless steel.
