by the way, just to prove that any Korean Valeo parts here are SUX as hell, a friend of mine has a 1.6L Skoda Felicia, he used korean Valeo clutch and it was totally worn out after only one month, he bought a new Sachs clutch and its diffenatly great, when we tried to compare between them we found that the Valeo clutch is 7mm thickness and the Sachs clutch is 9mm when them both are never used..so thats what i mean when i said Valeo SUX.

MMamdouh, from a trusted experience for me, the VGIS doesnt matter at all after the headers and cold air intake, maybe cuz the air flow coming IN and OUT through the engine got a little more amount now. but i disconnected the VGIS hose (so the internal 4 air gates are always open) i even can feel much better performane now, i kept trying it under alot of conditions and everytime it was better to remove the VGIS to use the whole volume of the manifold, i think no need to participate the intake anymore now, i am working on find out the best design for the best performance now for a custom intake with new injectors, and i will tell u after i finish the work how is the results so honestly..

ya of course it will eliminate the use of the VGIS, but MMamdouh is just worried that if this method of feeding the engine with air and fuel changed, it would lose torque, but it wont.
by the way, what u mean with this:
"ps just go the intake manifold flange programmed so if you're interested it can ge cut any time."

i dont remember well but i think my friction plate is a VALEO item...
well 135 lb.ft (at the wheels, about 160lb.ft at the fly) and a 4 puck ceramic clutch even semi slicks used on it and now its beginning to slip a bit... thats after almost 3 years

and about the header heat... hey youre not running a turbo to run a red hot manifold. just be sure to see if the fan wires are correctly wrapped.
my car has a stock tubular manifold and i use a plastic fan from a lanos.

Thanks everybody i was so happy for the new exhaust untill this early morning when the damn timing belt jumped out of its place, im so worried there maybe any damage inside, but anyways i am going to check out this afternoon and i will feed u back later.
MMamdouh, i made this header at Mohamed Lotfy's shop in Gesr El Suaes near to El Herafeyeen, he took care of making the flange at a turning shop where he used to deal with, and then he made the rest.
And for the specs, as i said before, its a 4-2-1 header, the 4 pipes are 1.5", the 2 pipes are 1.75" and the 1 pipe is 2" which continue the rest of the exhaust pipe in 2", i have got a mid filter which is 2.5" inlet and outlet and its Walker, and a rear stainless steel muffler which is 2.5" inlet and its Jasma, also the muffler and filter are bought from the same shop, actually it looks a bit tiny headers cuz its only four 1.5" pipes which u could see, and its in normal iron pipes not stainless or chrome or anything but of course i will work on taking some pics once i finish working on the new timing belt problem which i have got today, pray for me, LOL, and yes plz ask for any available clutches cuz its really annoying me when the new clutch only runs very well for 2 weeks and then its normal performance again.

i programmed the flange for the intake maniforld to bolt to the head. it's a precision CNC piecethat can be cut in 1/2" mild or stainless steel. it's much nicer the the alturnative, drillling random holes in a piece os steel.mezomaster wrote:

Going on 'Mezomaster' experience and advice... Would disconnecting the VGIS on my 1.6ltr Lanos give me a bit more power.. Effectively leaving 'all four gates' open inside the manifold right from the start of the rev range ? Could this possibly be the reason for the dreadfull flatspot i have under 2500rpm and before 4000rpm ??mezomaster wrote:MMamdouh, from a trusted experience for me, the VGIS doesnt matter at all after the headers and cold air intake, maybe cuz the air flow coming IN and OUT through the engine got a little more amount now. but i disconnected the VGIS hose (so the internal 4 air gates are always open) i even can feel much better performane now, i kept trying it under alot of conditions and everytime it was better to remove the VGIS to use the whole volume of the manifold, i think no need to participate the intake anymore now, i am working on find out the best design for the best performance now for a custom intake with new injectors, and i will tell u after i finish the work how is the results so honestly..
To disconnet it, is all i have to is take the rubber hose off and leave it off ? should i clamp the hose shut ?
OH... i know lotfy... he did the turbo mani and exhaust for the BMW 353 turbo... skillful guy. how much did it cost?
sorry about your timing belt bro... most probably you got bent valves... if you did remove the head then you can do a port and polish job as well.

Thank u man, it costed me 400 L.E., honestly im not sure if he is giving this price for everyone or not cuz i think he may say 500 if someone dunno him well, but i think u can remind him with me (moataz with the black nubira) many friends got good prices when they remind him with me.
Yesterday i tried to install a new timing belt and i did it well, the old tentioner was really HURT badly, everyone saw it yesterday he got shocked, after installing new tentioners and timing belt, and making sure there its the right way, i found no pressure at all in the pistons, so im sure i have got at least 10 of the 16V bent, i know new valves cost will be 240L.E if GM, and new valves oil seals will cost 75L.E if GM so its not such a big deal like i thought, but do u think its better to buy another head with its valves and everything included, maybe not the cams. i dunno, do u know how much it cost and if that is the best?

and Andew21, just disconnect the rubber hose, no need to shut anything at all, if it solver the flat spots for ur car, then i am more sure that i was right, try it without the air filter too, if u got a stock air filter installed, i think this works better because the amount of the air went more than before with sport filters, but i think in stock filters it may be worse
