door trims
hi guys, im new to the scene.
Now iv had a daewoo for about 5months now and done a little bit of stuff to it, like sound system etc..nothing major.
Now i want to start doing a bit more, by starting with new door trims.
Iv looked on the forums for a while now and is there a guide to not screwing this up etc..?
or at least could some one put me in the right direction.
cheers

yeah i saw that thread. looks useful however for myproject, i think i might change the actuall shape of it, i.e. useing a jigsaw.
If anyone has any ideas i would apreciate greatly...e.g. shape ideas for the speaker position and new ideas for a possiable blue/black theme.
Also is there anything you can buy to reshape the door trim? or possiably cutting off a part of it and adding a new section to it?
cheers

Hello
I put some blue fabric onto the cloth bit on all my four doors looks very good.
I also re-painted the doors black, and all the plastic trim. Even the carboard bit on the roof interior
i did black, and then sprayed the sunvisors black, and the handles blue.
Have you an email address? i could send you pictures if you like
Where you from?

wow, i like the interior a lot. especially the dash, efective as you only made some parts blue, not the whole dash.
how or where did you get the kit for that btw?
and for the rest, i like the light and hangers above the doors as well!
il make a thread about my door trims once i have actually started it, at this stage im thinkin about what to actually do as i dont just want to re fabric it...i want to actually take it apart and change the actuall shape!

For everyone,
The fabric i used is from MotorWorld, this is their website - http://www.motor-world.co.uk/kroozin/ca ... _cat_id=60
The Blue paint on the air vents is a shade of Neptune Blue, i used small paint brushes and
those little paint pots of Humbrol, the ones you use for car, plane etc.. models.
The paint on the handles and other little bits on the ceiling, i used aresol spray cans - Peugeot Neptune Blue
from Halfords.
I didnt want to much blue to overload the interior, so just did bits and bobs.
Im goin to change the blue interior to purple. Hopefully start February 2007.
And this time ill take photos as i go along and post a how-to-do section.
