EGR gasket

Lanos 1,5 SOHC. A few days ago I replaced EGR valve (on 66K km). There was not available spare gasket for EGR, but shop assistant said that this is not a problem. He had the same situation and the car mechanic made a new gasket out of thick paper.

Well, I made the same, but stil wondering whether this will be ok as previous EGR gasket (broken) was similar to gaskets often find on exaust system parts.

if it is not leaking then don't worry about it

There are no leaks, I was a bit worried of the temperature influence. Thanks a lot for reply.
