I have a ? about the power botton on our tranny, what does it actually do?
In the owner manual it says its mostly for hills.
Someone correct me on this.
I searched the whole forum but I couldn't find anything

From what i remember reading about it ?
If your in the highest 'drive' gear and you press the power button ? Your tranny will drop down one gear lower.
That way you have a lower gear ratio like for hill climbing. Or passing under some conditions.
You can press the button and the light will go on, BUT ! The transmission will only react under 60 mph.
It's designed so that if you forget to re-set the button after 60 mph ("Power" light still on) an upshift will occur anyway.
So you will always be in the top high gear after that speed even if the light is still on.
By the same token ? If you press the button at any speed over 60 mph? the light will come on but the tranny won't downshift.
This is how I understand the "power button" If i am wrong ? someone will correct me.
