V. High fuel consumption
I have an automatic lanos 2000, it consumes very much fuel, & sometimes the acceleration is too bad -but not all the time-
I tried to chane the oxygen sensor (exaust sensor) but nothing changed
what can it be?
thanks

I don't know where you live ? Maybe someplace that measures in metric ?
I go about 30 miles per USA gallon of gas in my automatic 2000 Lanos 1.6
I think this is about average for this car.
Maybe your spark-plugs and spark-plug wires need replacement ?
What is your current gas milage ?
Also, how many miles on your car ?

Hello all, I went to the service center & they told me that it was the exaust sensor & when i told them that I tried to change it but still the consumption was bad they found that even the new exaust sensor had something wrong so they changed it again & now the consumption is the half
thanks all
thanks all
faulty O2 sensors are always the main reason for bad fuel economy... bad injectors comes in second place.

sort of with this topic...
I have replaced my O2 sensor twice and still the light comes on for it...the parts store is aggitated with me bringing them back so I was wondering if the bosch O2 sensors have given anyone else problems...i know bosch sparkplugs only lasted three months in my car.
Thanks
Jimmy

could be the wiring to the sensor rather than the sensor itself.
