.051 is OE size, .060 or .065 is you best bet. if your going turbo soon, go with the .065.

i'll get all the numbers you need to figure comp. ratio on monday and get back to you. just for reference, are you using a complete 2.2 motor or 2.2 crank in a 2.0 block?

Well I have an Chevy Optra T18SED, Bore is 81.6MM
The only head gasket Cometic has is the one for the 1.6V 82MM C4257-051

So I bought that one.

What do you guys think, mi mech said to me that it could work.

Hmm.

I'm not totaly sure about this.

But I think it wouldn't fit.

Maybe the gasket is for 1.6L engines not for 2.0L engine.

But it's just assume.

quick question.
rr__kroz123 wrote:well my engine is not a 2.0, it's a 1.8
is your block cast with a six digit code like "R90 400 075". the reason for asking is that i think that your block is the same as the 2.0/2.2 but i've never seen the 1.8.
if your motor has the code starting with "R90" them the part #'s at the top of yjr page with work.

garrett

should be just to the left of the dipstick hole.

dech volume

Post by gse_turbo »

nubira2.2, i'm trying to get you the exact numbers of the compression change but there is one figure i cant find or measure until i build my motor.
the figure i need is the "dech volume," the measurement i keep getting isn't consistent with what i should be getting.
if anyone knows this number please let me know.
