Hy all!

Name is Gordan, originally from Croatia and I'm driving a Lanos 1.5 SOHC from 1997.
Accidentally came across this forum and the next step was obvious... Had to register. :D 8)

I've bought the car in 2000 and it's been stock untill 2005. Then the mods just kept coming...
Started with car audio, complete remake of car's electric system, fiberglassing door panels, remaking the whole trunk area....etc,etc.....
Next thing to do is to swap the engine... Engine is bought along with tranny, axels, fuel pump,ECU and is ready to be swapped....
It's a C20SE from Opel Omega withouth the catalytic converter and 120+ HP.... It should provide enough power to my 1000kg Woo... Heheheheh... :D

Here's the link with the pics and a couple of mods done to my car... Fresh pics will be ULed soon....
Until then feel free to post comments.

Engine is out from the friends car and is being painted & cleaned... No need to do anything else cause it works like a charm... :D
In the meanwhile I bought a couple of cool stuff.... :D

1. HID 6000k H4 bixsenon :D
2. Wizard of NOS kit with adjustable controller and around 100hp shot of nitrous.
3. Helix Competition front speakers + Alpine TypeR sub... 8)

Everything is being installed and should be finished before March

Will update soon.... Until then everything can be seen on Cardomain... :D

if tuned properly, a small shot of nos is ok, as long as you dont use it every 5 min on the street while your driving around

I'll find out soon enough! :D

PS
It was never bought with intention of using it all the time...
If I wanted that I could have bought a C20LET for just a bit more money... ;)

I gave up all the investments in this car so far.
Nitrous is sold, bought myself a set of front seats from FK and I stripped away all the internal parts.
Its time to finish the audio part of the car so everything is going to be hand made by me. Half of the work is done so far but still lots of work to be done! :D

C20LET? Hm... Yeah,I thought of that... But didn't go for it. This engine is just right so far for my little Lanos. Next years plan is to do a conversion to C20GET and to make everything in the car street legal.
I spent over 10k € on my car and to be honest... Its not worth it. I mean, its a great car now. Handles great, brakes great, goes great... But too much money has been spent to get to this point! ;)

I did measure the car allthough. I was running low 14s with nitrous and high 15s without the nitrous. Best ET was 14.22 on nitrous and 15.6 without it.
Just one more thing is going to be done before the summer is over and thats head work. Pretty much a racing spec head work is going to be done. It should lower the time to 15.4 without the nitrous and thats it for me so far. Next year Ill try to go for 15:00 with C20GET.

Its been a long time since I updated this thread...

Ill keep it short. :D

Engine:
Completely rebuilt C20XE
EDS stage 2 eprom (rev limiter set @ 7500rpm)
Powercap
55mm exhaust all the way
140L Bosch fuel pump
3bar FPR
Thermostat opens @ 88
Thermo switch @ 94
(to keep it nice and cool at trackdays)

Drivetrain and suspension:
D16 short ratio gearbox
Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks
Yokohama Parada spec2 tyres
Mak 15" rims, lots of spokes :D
Front Cali 2.0 16V 256mm brake discs
Rear Kadett GSi brake discs
Both front and rear calipers are renewed, new discs, new pads, new oil lines.

Later to come:
Vems perhaps, I'm still thinking it over
Hayabusa ITB's
300ccm fuel injectors

Specs:
- 170 bhp stated by EDS, got to do a dyno run to check this.
- 0-100 km/h in 6.2sec
- 1/4 mile in about 14.7sec
- Estimated top speed is around 230km/h (I managed to do a 220+. Engine was still pulling strong so ill have to check this also just to be sure how fast this thing can go)

And 3 vids to back this story up :D

I lost to this Espero before cause I had a ton of problems. From electrical issues, to false air (cracked intake header), faulty sensors, stock ECU, 40mm exhaust, etc...
His best time is 7s flat to 100km/h.
NOTE: Specs in this video are FALSE! ;)

I managed to fix a couple of things so we made these videos:

1. Still with cracked intake header, 40mm exhaust and cold surface for Yokohama Parada's, full tank of gas, lots of things in the trunk.
Outside video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAGUQcctNH8
1st is 58km/h @ 7500rpm
2nd is 101km/h @ 7500rpm
3rd is 150km/h @ 7500rpm

2. 2 persons and everything that's stated in the above video.
Inside video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6UkSFEhORU

Well, since then I fixed all the problems and the story goes the other way round now. He can't even come close to me. :)
I'll post a vid of beating a couple of Renault Clio 197's next week when i'm done with them. :D

Im off to bed now.
GN everybody. :D
