wire plug-in connectors at shift cable control Q.. UPDATE

Post by Spider »

Hey automatic transmission techs !

How many electronic connections are there on a Lanos, 4T40E automatic transmission ?

I am just finishing up an engine transplant and am looking (just under) where the shift cable hooks-up at the tranny.

Lookin at a brown, flat, kinda triangle shaped, electronic "box" on top of the transmission.
It has provisions for two plug-in wire connectors.
I have just one wire/connector.
It's the larger of the two. It's closest to the firewall.

I can't find a male (wire w/ connector) to go in the smaller (closest to the battery) female "socket"..

Is there one for it. ? If so ? I wonder where it is ?

Thanks in advance.

Found it ! There isn't one !
I had a bunch of photos I took prior to the engine pull. Sorted through them and finally found one that showed the;
"empty connector socket"
