My Suspension Update
Well I'm on attempt #3 of doing the suspension on my car. The last time times I was stopped by the ball joint and steering knuckle. With the help of a trusty old sledgehammer, that is no longer an obstacle. Now I need a spring compressor to finish the job. I'll be low before you know

Advance Auto Parts has a tool lending program.
Leave credit card number, cash or check for them to hold until you return the tools.
Also, I think our favorite store (Harbor Freight) has spring compressors for a really good price, too.
$10.99

I called Advanced and they said they're not doing the loan program anymore.TheGreatAndPowerfulOz wrote:Advance Auto Parts has a tool lending program.

I honestly have no money to spend to get one, however I was lucky enough to find a friend that has one.

Spring compressors have always been a problem with mine. The spring platform is quite a bit bigger than the spring so they're always jammed up against the platform. I ended up making my own compressors in the end with longer 'forks' that cleared the spring platform. Pain in the ass...
