North West USA meeting for Daewoo Owners ( Late May 2007 )

Well.... it looks like we are planning a meeting in Billings Montana in late May of 2007

I will be there with my Turbo 8V C20GET Lemans

GSiTurbo will be there with his Turbo 16V T20SED Lemans

Hopefully we will see GSETurbo and his turbo Lemans, Domwoo with his Turbo Lanos and AudacityRacings 6 Cylinder Lanos

Everyone is welcome to join us, a specific date has not been set but odds are it will be sometime in the last two weeks of May.

Ideally we will want to do a photoshoot for the UK magazine "Total Vauxhall" since there will hopefully be three unique Turbo Astra MKII's and two Unique Lanos (based upon Astra MKII Chassis)

Who knows.... if we get the date nailed down perhaps they might even send someone out to meet us

hopefully we can make it closer to mid to late june. i've been backed up with our scca bmw touring car and the lemans is completely parted out.

Well... AudacityRacing will be there in late May.... so it would be a fun meeting..... as far as getting together with three turbo Lemans..... I'm sure Tom (GSiTurbo) would be interested in another trip in late June or July.... we could come down to Colorado and visit you.... I've never been to Colorado.... most of my time in the US has been Montana, Idaho, Washington and the west coast (when I was younger)

Do you think you could still make it down for a weekend in late May without your Lemans???

We should get some really nice detailed photos and make a carboard mock up of your car... perhaps they won't notice if we get the angles just right

Sure.... just create a small black hole and suck up all the middle states.... it's not like anyone will miss North and South Dakota

I need another engine like I need a hole in the head..... but $1500 is a really good deal..... so yes... I'm still interested.... just trying to work out some details with respect to a couple sets of Drag/Track tires/rims that are in Lawton Oklahoma..... I'm trying to get ahold of Domwoo to see if I can ship them to his place and pick them up during the meeting.

If that doesn't work out.... then I probably won't take the engine.... unless I can ship the tires rims (eight in total) to you and have you bring them up with the engine.

I guess it would depend on what your driving...... eight wheels and tires take up a pile of room..... my plan is to throw the track tires/rims onto my Lemans so that I only have the drag tires/rims to bring back inside the car.

Basicly it comes down to cost..... if I can get the tires and engine at the same time and make it a "fun" trip then I'd pick up the motor to kill three birds with one stone.

Oh... and the tires will have to be shipped before Nick (Lanos2001) goes to school.... which is in march.... so whomever takes the tires/rims for me will have to hold onto them until late May.

the only way i'll be able to got to montana is if i sell the motor. i would be glad to work something out with the tires, im thinking i could take a uhaul and towing the lemans up there. let me know what you think.
