Cam Sensor Question

My old engine (2.2 Leganza) got it's cam sensor fixed via. dealer recall. Now that I put the new (used) engine in, where is the cam sensor and should I get it off the old broken engine? Put it on the new?

Anyone have a procedure?

the sensor is behind the cam gears and by all means put the new sensor in the new engine.

Dang,
Ok, is it a pain? Do I have to take the timing cover, and all that mess off like I was changing the timing belt again? I guess I can look on the broken motor. Don't get me wrong, I love working on the Woo. Just don't want to O.D. on too much fun!

now i think if you take off the plastic cover, it should be there on top, if i am not mistaken.

..And you may have to remove the valve cover to get at it.
But not the timing belt upper cover.

@ least thats how the Lanos is.

i had same problem ..replaced 2 sensors but still check engine light is on and scanner shows same fault code. "low input"

could it be a sensor's wiring issue?
