I got a used power steering pump to my mechanic and he said it was
the right pump but the wrong pully. The pully on my pump (factory)
was a bolt on pully to the pump. The used one i got was a pressed on pully.
What can i do as far as changing my bolt on pully to a pressed on pully?
I saw that the factory pully bolted on to a flange that ran off a shaft on the
pump.(of course)
The used pump had the compression fitting on the shaft.
Can i pull the flange off the factory pump and put it on the used one?
The flange has the same pressed fitting as the used on but i think if i was able to
get the flange off and press it on the new pump it would make the pully stick out to
far. Thus the belt would not work.
Any help would be appreciated. I can make a small vid if i lost you!!

Hey Tx,
Seems like a lot of extra work to get that pulley to work ? Can you return it?
Here is one (used) for $28.00 USD (another 10 dollars for shipping though) They say they will answer any questions and have a "return-policy"

I think i going to try my old pump and see if it will work. It has been without fluid for 3 months.
They told me that it will be a shot in the dark. If not i will drain the fluid and do without. I have
been without for 3 months and it is not bad. It gives it that racer feel. I would order that pump
but i need to get my car off the guys lift. Thanks for the repost spider.
