Help-DTC P0300-Random/multiple Cylinder misfire **solved**
1.6 Lanos 2001 105,734 miles.
*driving down interstate in forth gear, went to rev limit, hit the rev limit and shifted instant CEL.
Previously Replaced Parts (within last 8k)
-fuel filter
-spark plugs
-plug Wires
Obvious Systems to check:
-Ignition
--Coil
--plugs and wires again
-Fuel
--Filter
--Injectors
--Bad Gas?
_Check Engine Light is currently On and no rough or abnormal Idle.
If any possible ideas or more problem areas on what i have listed, please post!
Thanks Bunches -Lanowoo

after regular checking... reset ECU and keep monitoring ow the car behaves, might be triggered by hitting the rev limiter although i hit mine many times and i never got CEL.

Yeah, I'm unsure as to why it would do that unless maybe you coated a plug in gas by downshifting from the limiter (excess fuel, timing changed)... most of the time it would just pop/backfire, but in some cases it can stick to the plugs which would make it fire goofily for a time or two... signalling a misfire, even though nothing is really wrong.
I would bet that to be the case

I cleared the ecu and redone the event, i guess i wasn't paying attention and the only way i could get it to come on and report the same code, was to go up to 6500+rpms. and it then threw it .. so i think that code is solved..

so you were running with missing cylinders to cure the missfire??C20GET wrote:I just wanted to mention that the last time I had a random cylinder misfire I just removed random cylinders until it went away.

Umm that doesn't cure anything ...... hehe it would only mean that it would be a misfire on whatever cylinder you unplugged.. lol.. goodone

Sorry. I should have said it was a joke.so you were running with missing cylinders to cure the missfire??
Yeah, but that's a whole new problem to solve. And it's much easier than the first one.Umm that doesn't cure anything ...... hehe it would only mean that it would be a misfire on whatever cylinder you unplugged.. lol.. goodone
