I would go with NGK BKR5EIX for up to 15psi boost, and BKR6EIX for over 15psi. This part num is NGK iridium plug, as used in Astra VXR.

well did a search of my own

finded out this ...

Image

checking the desing symbol of the standard (BKR6EK) plug and
the iridium (BKR5EIX) plug ...

the iridium is one range hotter than the standard, is it due to the iridium?

if the oem range is 6 should i look for a range 7?

comparing with Subaru Impreza WRX it uses the BKR6EIX plug

since i will have no timing control it is very important for my engine to minimize
all chance of pre-ignition and detonation

reading NGK tech info the heat range has a lot to do with it

for now the BKR6EIX is winning

as per the NGK chart, the BKR5EIX is already one step hotter than the OEM recommended spark plug... won't that be bad for the engine??

i'd be looking for an NGK spark plug with heat range of 7 if i am under boost conditions.

+1. Going one step cooler did give a better feel under full throttle.
