Cruise control for Nubira 1.6

Hi,

I've just arrived to Daewootech.

I'm from Portugal and I own a Daewoo Nubira SW CDX 1.6, manual transmission (same as the actual Chevrolet Nubira).

I've been searching for the possibility of installing a cruise control, so far with no success.

The dealer told me that it's not possible. Nevertheless I know that in France the cruise control is an option in new cars similar to mine, with the same engine.

I also know that the CC is standard in certain models of Suzuki Forenza in US. The difference is that these are 2.0 engines.

I've also found CC for Forenza in http://www.thecruisecontrolstore.com but also for 2.0 engines. I believe that this is not suitable for my car because in the installation instructions the ECM seems different.

Does any one know of some original or aftermarket cruise control for the 1.6 engine of the Nubira?

i am not sure of this but i guess it is more related to the type of tranny you got rather than the engine... i have seen CC on 1.6 Nubiras but they were all auto tranny cars.

The CC option for the French Chevrolet Nubira is available for manual transmission also, as you can see on

I guess the possibility of having CC is more related with the ECM programming rather than the engine itself. That's why I belive there must be possible to add this funcionality.

The CC available in http://www.thecruisecontrolstore.com for the Forenza is suitable for auto and manual.
