Is there anyway to test the egr valve? I have a cel of p0449 how do i fix it? I have a spare egr valve!!!!!!!

What car do you have? P0449 seems not relative to EGR.
If for a Leganza check leak around tank cap.

My engine light has been on since I bought the car and Its annoying, My car is an automatic, when it starts off in 1st then it shifts in second it bogs out but only for the first time it hasn't been running for a while. Help
