oil catch can

Post by daewoomofo »

i am looking to make a oil catch can for my 2001 lanos 1.6, to get rid of the burned oil smell from my heat, and to not have oil going into my engines intake charge. i am just wondering if i can hook both of the vent hoses to the same can
Image

is this ok to do? is there any thing i should look for, and things i should not do. also are there any more hoses that i should hook to it, or do i really need both hooked to it? as always you help is greatly apreciated. thanks in advance

i dont have a catch can all i did was disconnect both hoses from the intake and intake manifold
believe me now there is no oil in my intake side valve are clrean everything else is

and yes you must disconnect both lines and remember to block the smaller one in the intake manifold or u will have a vacuum leak

I just have a hose about afoot long that is turned down so it starts heading below the engine. I haven't noticed any kinda mess at all.

oil catch for lanos 1.5

Post by john_trickle »

I want the same on the 1.5 so to be sure the hose from the vavle cover goes to the oil catch and from the oil catch to the intake hose is that correct.

i saw that before. the only poblem is that its really small and i would have to tie in the 2 lines to one to make it work or get 2 cans, my pvc one will work after i make it, and i can have more than one inlet.
