Tearin' up the track taking a slight left turn at 80mph, note that the cars been lowered more since & my track wheels:
New smoked tail lights, maybe 3 coats in and I think I did 5 overall with new rear bumper before we make some changes and get it to fit (click to enlarge):
New front bumper, gotta get it to fit, paint the grill black, and mold the stock fogs tightly in place (click to enlarge):
Trying to get a pass on an M5 (click to enlarge):
Trunk setup with old amp, new amp is silver (matching the subs) and the hifonics lights up blue...still have to hide some wires(click to enlarge):
New reno front end (I ended up taking off the tint from the projectors):
New wheels, they will be track wheels once I save more money for wider street wheels. Also I banged up the fenders and raised the car to get them to fit untill I get my new fiber glass fenders installed. I could have probbaly gotten away with an extream fender rolling but I had these fiber glass fenders already and saw them on another car and they look pretty cool.
I love how the bronze brings out the brakes... (before lowering this corner .35")
Before lowering the other three corners .6-.8"
A look at one of the fender flares:
VIDEOS!
Half throttle trying to get a good pass on the car infront. You can hear me go full throttle on the second to last corner and I passed the car shortly after on a small straight:

Trying to keep up with a really fast 350z out at PIR roadcourse in Arizona:

You mean the "S"? I'll get around to that eventually...Don't have the time right now to go custom and don't wanna spend the money on something already made.whiteraven wrote:Why don't you black chrome out the chrome accents? A nice transparent black tint with a good clear sealer would do it...and it would reallt accentuate the blackout look.
Black tint on what? the chrome?
Nope, been pulled over twice for the window tint but that's it.exist3nce wrote:around my area, with a wing like that you are just asking for the cops to pull you over and give out BS tickes....... improper muffler, too low, wing obstructing view.... etc lol

Too low? I dont understand, could it ever been too low? No but really, it is a bit of a pain in the ass as low as it is. If I can't get around speed bumps or if they don't have a space in the middle I bottom out on everyone. I still won't raise the car though. The lowest part of the car is just 2" off the ground which is part of the suspension. The body just infront and behind the front wheels is 3"-3.25" off the ground. I love the look of the tires hiding up in the fenders but won't mind getting the body farthur off the ground. When these tires wear threw I may go with a different setup. Instead of runnign 40 series tires on 17" I may move up to 45s and raise the car a bit...still keeping the tires up in the fenders but getting the body/suspension off the ground more, this would also allow me to have a body kit.Nubira2.2 wrote:u had put a lot of money in it, i can see that
isnt the suspension too low ?
is it good in the track ?
it looks like it could fly
keep it looking your way
It's hard to say on the track, I whoop just about everyone but I'm also a much better driving for my group that I run in. Next event I'll be moving up and then I could tell more.
If it wern't for the wing and front splitter I think she could fly!

How do you guys think a flat black paint job would look on my car?
I kinda want a new paint job when I get a body kit as my paint isnt in the best shape I'd like. I love black and was thinking of just going with a flat black this time with no gloss. I think it'd look great with a carbon hood, my carbon splitter, my carbon wing, and my wheels. I also am going to try (looking for fitmit, weight, cost, then color) to get my new track wheels in bronze which would look great with flat black as well.
I also wouldn't mind a hot pink, honestly...but then I'd have to convince people I'm really not gay driving a car with a hot pink paint job. I just like those bright/neon colors and pink is the only one I havn't seen driving around my part of town

How much does it cost? What about longativity against the sun? I thought the gloss helped protect against the sun. In Arizona this is a must.daewoomofo wrote:i say go for the flat black, my car is half flat black as of now, ill finish her up soon, it looks good, and its CHEAP!

well you can spary paint it for less than $75 , im not sure about the sun protectant. but if it gets messed up you just re-hit the bad spots and make them look good again. or you cna actually get a matte clear coat to put over it, im not sure about how much that is, or the protectant but its worth looking in to

I was thinking of getting it professionally done. But how does the spray paint turn out?daewoomofo wrote:well you can spary paint it for less than $75 , im not sure about the sun protectant. but if it gets messed up you just re-hit the bad spots and make them look good again. or you cna actually get a matte clear coat to put over it, im not sure about how much that is, or the protectant but its worth looking in to

if you take your time and do it right, it will turn out pretty good. or if you have an air compressor and a paint gun (or if any friends have them) you could paint it your self, the worse problem with people painting cars theirself is the over spray, but over spray doesnt really show up on flat black. the paint shouldnt be that expencive so it wont be too much

rattle can isn't the way to go, do it professionally. what you need to do is go into a PPG paint supplier when there not busy and talk to them about flat paints but more about FLAT CLEARS. mostly so you know what's out there and you can see if your body shop knows what's out there and you don't get steamrolled.
being you car's black already you should be able to get a shop to scuff and respay the flat clear for cheap cheap, around $700 or less.
sorry you're not crose enough to colorado, i'd spray for cost of matterials (less then $150).
garrett
ps. ONLY USE PPG! there's a lot for good stuff out there but everything from PPG is catalized which means you'll get great life and protection from it.
