Rusty coloured brake discs?

Post by norbie »

Should I be worried about this?

The discs are only a year old, does it more on one than it does the other I think. Seems to come off after a bit of braking as well.

bare metal will always rust in ambient humidity and i see you live in the UK where it is raning as hell in winter... this is normal, we get that after a few hours of washing the car.

it should go away after your first few brakings as the brake pads will scrap away the rust and show the shiny metal once more.

nope... or at least never heared of them.

only thing i saw was some carbon alloy or something that is used on F1 cars... those are the ones that grip more when they are hot.
