Hey guys i saw this turbo on ebay tell me if this is suitable for the lanos 1.5.

You could do it, but it's far from optimal... The size of that T3/T4 is huge. I wouldnt recommend it.

It'd take you forever to spool that thing but when it did it'd just redline so fast!

Keep looking for a T25 or TD04L.

That one looks good. Appears to be in good condition.

Ask if there is any shaft play and how many kms it has done.

$200 is a good price for a TD04L off a late model WRX! It looks like it has the water fittings too so that is definetly a good thing!

I think the TD04L wastegate is set to 7psi stock - so enough to get you started on stock internals!

external 100%

more effective and efficient discharge of exces exhaust

and yes u can change it to external

solder the flapper and prepare the turbo header/manifold for external WG

Internal wastegate is easier to work with and works fine.

External wastegate is probably way overkil for your application.

It warms my heart to see so many of the guys doing turbo conversions. Back when I did mine I was practically on my own. The support out there now for Daewoos is wonderful. Press on guys.

the big concern with internal wg

is the boost creep

that can kill your engine!!!

there is no overkill in external WG

they come in different sizes for that reason

although the smallest one is 35mm bigger than any internal wg flapper
