Fog Lights

Post by lex86 »

Hey all, long time no see!

Thought I'd do a quick writeup of the latest mod... Adding foggies! Woot.

Doing this is so simple its not funny. (well, for me it was because i fibreglassed my grill and replaced it, right before i did the foggies. So i was kinda high off the fumes :P )

Anyway!

I bought my foglight kit from Autobarn (here in Australia) cost me $55 or so.

The only things I needed to change in this kit were
  • the battery wire
  • and the length of the wire that goes from the switch to the Relay
I stripped the battery wire's terminal off and spliced it into the cars +12v wire that sits near my CAI (dont know what its for, but it reads +12v when the car is turned to ACC). And for the Switch power, i tapped into the Accessories wire that heads to the cd player.

Apart from that all was sweet.

Ran the cables along the rhs (right hand side) of the car through the firewall and into the dash

And yeah, attached the ground wire of the switch to one of the bolts close to it.
And the Secondary ground thats near the first Foggie to the front of the car just behind the grill.

And thas it!

Simple yet, effective. These are bright as hell.

Also note that the number plate has now moved to the left of the car, And that the grill is redone smoothly and coated in metallic black (now for the rest of the bumper  grilling the gap where the foggies are and spraying the bumber in matte black or metallic black.)

PEACE!

Also i've changed my amp/amps to a bigger 4 channel. She goes harder now :P
