timing belt question

hi all
well i am back with another problem and questions.
ok this is what the problem is i was sitting at a stop sign waiting for my turn to go, the woo
stalled out. didn't really think of anything seeing that i was a little cold out and i really didn't let the car come up to operating temp. so i hit the key and the starter whines fuel pump pumps, but no fire
so i call my buddy up to move the car out of traffic. when i got it to a safe place i took the valve cover's cover off to expose the cam gears belt is over both gears and looks alright adam turned the key over and the cams don't move. ok timing belt. the question is at idle and the timing belt breaks how bad are my valves going to bent?

i plan on doing the work nov. 1 so any help would be grateful tonight

you got bent valves for sure but i recon at idle you won't hurt your head or pistons.

i assumed so. but i also have a question on the tool used on the water pump. what can i use outside of the specialty tool to rotate the pump to loosen and tighten the timing belt. i thought about using a box wrench but i don't have one big enough. if anyone knows what size or tool i could use that would be great.

before you rebuild your cylinder head, make sure the crank is ok
if you find your head was hurt too much, maybe stop fixing is not too bad
or try to find another engine

I just cannot image why Daewoo use such a stupid plastic pulley on a fragile DOHC system
a iron pulley will not cost too much

I will have to look at it but I have a feeling the steel Lemans water pump and belt tensioner might work.

We disassembled GsiTurbo's 1.6 SOHC engine on thursday night ( leaking head gasket) and I have a feeling it will work on the Lanos.

Tom had the head resurfaced this afternoon and he's reassembling everything as we speak.
