Stainless Steel cat back exhaust from www.evofusionusa.com

Post by simon609zp »

Was wondering if anyone knew much about this company. I saw it advertised on ebay. It's $300 (including shipping) which seems high. They have them for both the Lanos 1.6 and Nubira. Let me know.

In my opinion, you should have a muffler shop make you a custom exhaust, it will be cheaper. Thats what I did.

300 bucks for a full cat back exhaust system with shipping is pretty cheap. I also wanted to get the same exact thing on eBay, but instead did a custom exhaust (Ractive muffler + resonator removed). Sounds really nice, deep, and throaty.

$1,200 for a muffler + welding a muffler + replacing a resonator with a straight pipe.... WOW

I paid $100 bucks for the muffler + $100 to install it + $60 to replace the resonator. $260 all together.

calibrate the pipes.... are you having some trouble with your exhaust system? If not, just take it to another mechanic and get it done... it's worth it.

I'm thinking the custom route is the way to go. My Meineke guy in town quoted me $150 for a Magnaflow stainless steel muffler installed, plus another $100 to replace the resonator. What diameter pipe are people thinking is ideal. Stock is 1.75in. I'm thinking at least 2in or 2.25in.
