wired click sound comes from engine and another noise

these days, when I open the hood, I always hear some click when the engine runs.
I am worried about that, but when I check where the noise comes from, I just can not find it.
I use a long screw driver and touch everwhere on the engine, and put my ear on the handle of the screw driver, try to locate the source.
It just sound ok.
but the sound actually comes from the hood , driver side, behind the engine.
It is not related to transmission, because the car just park there.

and I hear other noise comes from the bottom of the car, every morning when I start the car(car is cold), I can hear the sound like a small iron peace scratch the ground, but the car does not move.
after the car is warm, the sound disappear(maybe appear for a short while)
does any one have any idea about these noise??

even though the car is sitting the flywheel is moving so you might want to have that checked

Can you post what type of car and transmission you have

record the sound with your computer mic. if you dont have one you can get one really cheap at any where that sells computer equipment

I found the noise from bottom of the car
It comes form the heat shield of exhaust pipe, the piece right after the front muffler.
maybe because the rust, the heat shield is loose
when the car starts, it generate great noise.
