Bleeding clutch
I have changed my brake fluid with fresh Dot.4 and also wanted to change the clutch fluid by bleeding the clutch until the fresh fluid comes out. What is the correct procedure for bleeding the clutch?
what car?... actually it wouldent matter because almos all dewoos are the same in this department.
how did you do the fluid flush? the way you did it well determine if you need to bleed or not so:
if you just yanked the brakes/clutch reservoir and thown all the fluid in it then refilled it and then opened the bleed port at each wheel till clear fluid came out then you got no air into your lines and you just need to do the same on the clutch's piston located at the bottom of the dipstick.
if you drained the braking system through the bleed ports at each wheel then you got air all over the system as well as the master cylender... the bleed process of the clutch is no different from the brakes:
pump a few times
hold clutch pedal down
open port
close port
repeat process till no air bubbles are comming from the bleed port.

The car is a Lanos and the first one I've had with a hydraulic clutch.
On the brakes I used a syringe to suck out the old fluid in the reservoir and filled it up with fresh fluid. I opened the valve at the wheel with an assistant pumping the brake pedal while I kept topping up the reservoir. I used about 250ml of fluid for each wheel valve. The brakes feel much sharper and responsive and the pedal is firmer.
I wasn't sure how to do the clutch but I will now do that later. Thanks.

I got someone to pump the pedal a few times and keep it pressed while I opened the valve to release the fluid and close the valve. Yes the pedal stays down and needs pulling up to repeat the operation. It's takes a while as not much fluid comes out and needs repeating many times to get all the old fluid replaced.
