Ignition Coil Problem???
Recently the ignition coil of my Nexia GLE got bad and it supplied current to only 2 Plugs (1 and 4 only) and negligible current to the other 2. Here in India, there are no dealerships for Daewoo motors, but u can get the spares by luck, if any small store has some old stock. Also there is a small market of Disposal Spares taken from Old or accidented cars. So I managed to get one used coil from one such dealer. However this Coil is working nicely on low revs of about 2000 to 2500 rpm. But on pushing the throttle, the engines starts missing. The problem with this coil is that it also does not give as much current to plugs 2 and 3 as my old coil used to give when it was working fine. The quality of current given to 1 and 4 is also not as good but better than 2 and 3. Here I would like to know that is this a malfuntion of the Coil only or is it something else which controls the Ignition Coil??? (Because the older Coil also didn't suuplied current to plugs 2 and 3). Today, I changed my Spark Plugs which gave about 50 % boost to the car. But it is still running very badly with about 60 % of the original power. Please help......

Since 2&3 plugs are fired togheter maybe you have bad ignition wire(s) on 2 or 3. Look at them in the dark. Try to swap 1-4 & 2-3 wires on spark plugs AND coil to sort it.
Other possibilities I see for this problem could be:
-bad coil.(Well, even new coil can fail
)
-bad connexion between coil and ECU.
-bad ECU.

The coil fires a spark to the distributor so if only 2 cylinders are affected I would say the problem is more likely to be the distributor. The distributor's on the Nexia also contain the crank sensor and other electronics which sometimes go bad and give misfires or poor running. It happened on my old Nexia 16v, I managed to get hold of a second hand distributor from the breakers and the problem was fixed.
