Undercar Neons

Post by chris2511 »

Hi guys, just wondering, im about to install some undercar neons, but i had a look under the car, and im not too confident where to drill, since i could be drilling into the fuel line or something if i drill in the wrong place, so had anyone put these on a lanos before, or does anyone know how to, and where to drill? Any help would be great thanks.

Chris.

if you just watch where you are drilling you should be ok. if it looks like there is something important there, dont drill there.

From what i can see there is nothing bad to drill into, but under the car is all the same, i just wanted to know if anyone had mounted them successfully on a lanos.

the fuel/brake lines are clearly visable... the problem will be the wiring underneth the carpet.

+1. Its just like installing interior neons! But just check around for any hoses or wires where you drill!

No need for drilling to run your wires into the car. The lanos has these rubber plugs in the floor boards. I just turned them into grommets and ran my wires in that way.

With the drilling part i mainly meant just attaching the neons with screws coz zip ties wont work, but thanks for the tips anyway :)

go to Home Depot or something like that and get plastic pipe straps. These are used in pumbing to hold down pipes.

But do they stick to the car themselves or are holes still needed to be drilled?
