Noise from ac belt
2000 daewoo lanos
after I put ad belt on , it always create noise.
at first, only after I turn on the air condition, it create noise for a short while, then everything is ok
then I buy another belt and try, Now, every time I start the car(when the car is cold) It creates noise for a short while(the air condition is off)
but if the car is hot, it sounds normal
before I rebuilt the engine, the air condition worked good.
what can i do ???

if it is polishing the pully then the pullies might not be aligned... you need to check if all three pullies are alighned or else you will never get rid of the squeal and you will keep on breaking A/C belts.

polishing means friction, if you got one half of a pully really polished then the belt is having too much friction with that side and that causes the sound as well as generates heat and eventually will break your belt and in some severe cases it might also damage the bearings on the components running on that particular belt.
as you have noticed the A/C belt's tensioner is located at the very bottom of the setup so if the car was involved in an accedent or in some cases brutal treatment by a mechanic or so can lead to shifting the tensioner a bit and cause those issues.

to check if they are alighned, take a ruler and put against the side and if there is a diffrence, then you know what it is.

it is alternator belt
Sorry, finally, I found it is not the ac belt, the noise comes from alternator belt.
I put both new ac and alternator belt on.
at first the ac belt begin to create noise. but after i change the ac belt, the alternator belt began to create noise. but I always assumed that it was ac belt.
that is so .........
it is a new belt, so after severl days, it strenched a little bit.
after I tighten the alternator belt, the noise gone.
thanks you every one.
