DVE Header installed on AVEO!

Post by Brian5475E »

UPDATED

Well Finally installed it . I am very pleased. A little more raspy, a pop here and there. And you can tell when I'm getting on it. As for power, I know this is what you are waiting for. You have to remember that I have a full CAI and U/D pulley. But with this header lets just say I uncorked the motor. I did not, repeat DID NOT loose any torque, feels the same, but when that VGIS opens at 4k look out she moves, pulls hard. I already had a Honda civic hatch it was mid 90's or something trying to race me. I let him in front then hammered it, I pullled a car and a half on him, even with his VTEC kicked it. This was on a city street. On the Highway it's better. Just say I pulled to 90 in 3rd very fast went to 4th pulled to 110 good but then let off. The car is a lot more reponsive. The little hesitation with the engine when you rev is gone. Again I am very pleased. I would recomend to anyone that want s to tune the Aveo.

i just throwing this out there but most likely the header will give the exhaust a better flow and makes it easier for the engine to "breathe"....only true way to tell is to dyno it and compare it to his last dyno run

Yes it's the same engine. It was made for the Lanos when DVE used them in racing
