Help me.... I need to make a decision on rims

Post by PrecisionBoost »

I am confused as hell..... I've decided that I like the Nakayama Zoro 10 rims but I can't decide between "racing chrome" and "hyperblack"

The "racing chrome" is not actually chrome.... it's a powder coat just like the silver and hyperblack.

Needless to say I need your guys help.... I just can't decide...... is the chrome too much??

Racing Chrome

Hyper Black

I'm looking at 18" X 7.5" rims with 215/35/18 Toyo T1-S tires.

Well.... the Nayayama Zoro 10's look very close to these Rev model 2 rims which are in hyperblack....

I brightened the rims up to what I figure they would look like in Chrome...

Erfinder, do those Rev model 2's come in a fitment for your car? If so, get them!
That photochop you've done with the hyper blacks just rocks. Not only does it looks sinister (like it'll kick your butt sinister) but it looks sophisticated in a braverian way ;)

I think the REV II can be found in the 4X114.3 (as well as 4X100) but I can source the Nakayama Zorro 10's locally for around the same money.

Both designs are nearly identical so I don't think there is much difference.... except for the fact that Nakayama is well known and has been around for a long time.

The main thing is that I'd have to import the REV wheels from the USA where as the Zoro 10's are only a few hours away.

I'm still not sure.... I was leaning towards the racing chrome but now everyone is telling me to go for the hyper black..... and I respect your opinions more than my own (since you guys can look at it more objectively than I can.... I must have looked at 500 different rims before coming up with the REV II and Nak Zoro 10's as the ones I'm most interested in)

From what i can see in the pic both look very good...

Honestly i like racing chrome wheels on Sporty Rear wheel cars... were you can have the wide ones on the back and the normal ones at the front...

Go for the Nakayama's.... both will look great on your car but has you said... is easier to get the Nakayama's and also they have some tradition...

i've seen REV wheels recently on local cars... i they might be doing good also...

my 2 cents...

All this time I had thought you were going to use the wooden wagon wheels that I posted in your last wheel thread! :P

LOL

I like those wheels; they are similar to what I am going to put on my Lanos.
On your car, I think the chrome would look good if you are going to silver tint the windows.

If you are going to black tint or use no tint at all on the windows, the black wheels would look good.
