some idiot scratched my car!!

Post by Rodd1s »

usual day at skool... parked my car where i always do.
got home from skool and noticed a scratch on the driver side door. it's about a foot long and it isnt exactly a light scratch! (i dnt know how i didnt notice it getting in to my car)
someone obviously did it on purpose, as it doesnt seem like an accident. i'm gona find out who and rip his head off...

now to get to the point... does anyone know what i can use to cover up or repair the scratch? or will it require more work than just a simple touch up, or something along those lines...?

please help! it's the ugliest scratch ever... and it has to go away!

pics would help on the diagnosis. depending on how deep it is you might need the door repainted or just buffed out. you could use touch up paint but it won't look as good.

Touch up paint, wet sanding, and buffing the paint up to a shine again will get rid of the scratch, depending on how much care you put into it and how careful you are with the paint and sanding, you won't even be able to tell that there was a scratch. Not to mention it'll save you a lot more than getting it done professionaly.

There are a lot of how-to's online, I'll find one for you.

And get the bastard who did it.

i have taken blue masking tape and put them as close to the scratch on both sides, & taken touch up paint and covered it real heavy, then used clear coat, and voila. just like new and only takes 35-40 minutes.
