I have the older valve cover, it doesn't use studs, Its kinda a how to, to convert studed lanos to Aveo cover bolts. it uses bolts like the aveo. I pretty sure, not 100% positive, the studs can be screwed out ot the cover or block (or drilled out, if you like doing things the had way), and find the thread pitch and depth and go to ace hardware or whatever lumber and hardware store and get bolts i think1-1/2" long with the threads starting 1/2"from the head of the bolt. I had one of my bolts break at the woo shop, and they had to find me a screw at a hardware shop b/c they don't stock my kind of valv.cover anymore, and the bolt isn't in the service manual. insert bolt through the valve cover and tighten down (by hand) to it is snug against top of motor, if any gaps between cover and bottom of the bolt's head, put a few ( prefer 2 small washers or less) to make sure it is secure, but not too tight to the engine. torque to specs for studed cover.

If you ever find out, write back, 'cause I'm interested too. The new Woo has a leaky valve cover gasket and I don't even want to attempt a change without getting those rubber seals and washers.

I will check if the lanos(MINE) and aveo (yours) are exactly the same, it might take a week or so since i have to work *8 days straight this week and will be very exhauseted. I am 75% surei have the exact cover and bolts 2 convert ur studded type, or even convert to your type, just do opposite : get longer bolts with same thead and size, cut head off bolt, put into top of engine, put stud gasket and stud on and volia.

On my lanos, i have no seal or washers on mine, my dealer said that there was 2 factories making the same engine, but had it put on diffrently. Same size and pitch on the threads. If the Aveos, which i have seen in the USA, have the same type of bolts, but you probably would have to make 4 new holes to accomodate the diffrence. If you can, provide me a pic of your engine, and that would help me out to see how it can be done.

I don't think that anything else is diffrent besides that.

oh sorry, take one off of your car and go to the other vehicle's parts dept. and do a visual comparison. If threads are the same pitch, and direction and same size, then it wouldn,t make no diffrence.
