1. go to your local auto parts store and get a "door panel removal tool" like this one (less than $5.00)

2. you have to slide it between the crank and the trim ring, like this

3. you will have to work at it a bit, try sliding it in a different points, until you find the one that pops the clip out like this

4. you can then pull the crank off
