unread threads getting reset to read?

Post by exist3nce »

not sure if this is where i should post this, but its very annoying. Why with this site my unread posts will randomly all show as read, and then I have no idea which ones I've checked. After that happens it will work properly for a few more days then they all get reset to read again.

Yeah... this is another server issue. It's losing track of your cookie and resetting it to read... it is in fact very annoying and it's not just you that it happens to. :(

I hear we're moving to a new more stable server soon, so perhaps it will be better then.

Also if you open two windows on daewootech or open a window and exit it and reopen it it shows them all as read.

talk about the most annoying thing in ones life... you can get that if you lost your internet connection with some posts still unread, if you got 2 windows brwsing the forum, sometimes if you hit the "Back" botton.

i am trying to be very careful with reading the forum now.

well as far as i am concerned that was not daewootech's server or forum problem rather than my stinky ISP's problem... i gave them hard time for it though.
