Lanos: 0 to 130mph - No Tach Cluster Scan Discussion-

Post by JohnnyC »

Thanks to Giga-Matt, we now have the 0-130mph No-Tach scans. :)

If you do something cool with them, post them here.

First thing I did with the scans was leveled them all out (no slants). If someone wants a psd file with the gauges leveled, please let me know. :)

I've had the supplies to try a few methods to create my gauge faces :)

Oh... and I noticed that the model numbers and such are different on these then the 120's. :) I wonder which cars have the other one and which ones have this one. :)

Okay... Click this link to download the zip of the PSD.

It's about 5mb or so.

Should have all the stuff you need and probably some of my own touches you may not want.

Hope this helps :)

Not too bad... but I think I want some blue bulbs for the back of the gauges.

Looks quite good, is that burnt out kinda effect in the second pic just coz of the camera or is that what happens?

That is pretty much how they look to the eye... What you're seeing through them with the lights on is the hardware behind the gauges. I've been considering putting in a diffuser kind of thing behind them so the light spread is a little less defined. Though a part of me kinda likes that mechanical look when the lights are on. :)

Fair enough looks good, what if you used thicker paper or 2 layers of paper, im sure the light wouldnt get through as much, just my 2 cents :D

I have some frosted plastic folder things I bought for just such a purpose. Just wasn't sure if I wanted to use them or not. After I did the print/cutout job on them, I decided I would try it without them.
