Mud/Rain/Rock Guard Painting Experiment

Post by JohnnyC »

I decided I would see how the mud/rock/whatever guards would look if I painted them to match the body. Overall I think it actually turned out pretty cool looking, especially from the rear. :)

it actually made the car look more refined... good work.

i got another project in mind, i broke my mud guard during my out of control spin last November and it actually looked cool... it made the car look more aggresive yet not missing any parts.

now i have replaced both rear mud guars and i intend to shave the other non broken guard and put them on the car to see how will it look with them shaved guards.

Yea they look cool, i did mine white to match the body colour bout a year ago,
and they really make a difference. I also painted the windscreen wiper storks white aswell.
I should have my car pics in the gallery soon, need to get camera.

+1. You're becoming quite the spray painter!

It's SCREAMING for you to do the side mirrors, door handles and the boot key hole surround! Then mesh the grill 8)

Thanks guys :D Yeah, those turned out really well. With each thing I paint with the spray paint, I'm getting better at it. :)

I will probably be doing the mirrors pretty soon. I don't think I'll be doing the door handles though. Both Lexie (my wife) and I kinda like them black for now. I might change my mind, but not yet. :) hehe

As for meshing the grill... no... probably not. One of the things I really like about my woo is the grill. Reminds me of a BMW grill. :)

I'm starting to lean towards dent repair as some of my next projects... mainly that back passenger door. I can get a junkyard door in blue with no damage for $100. Unfortunately I can't just use the whole door, I have to use the skin only since it's an electric window and I have manual ones. :)
