Last night, while driving down the highway, I had a misfire on cylinder 3... A vacuum tube was disconnected (my fault since I forgot to re-connect it before)... but I don't know if that was the cause.
I know that my cam sensor is not doing well... works sometimes... doesn't others. And I think that could possibly have something to do with the misfire, but again... not 100% sure.
Last time I had a misfire it was on cylinder 1, but that was a while ago and it was because my CAI tube had disconnected itself. I have since fixed that problem and it would have an extremely hard time disconnecting itself now.
Got any other ideas of what would cause the misfire on 3?
Another thing I considered is this:
I recently built the CAI I have in there now. I also have the new fog lights in. In the back of the fog light hole, I have about 8 layers of screen. Since the intake filter now sits behind and slightly above the fog light hole, is it possible that I'm simply getting TOO much air still at higher speed (70mph+)?
I have new high performance ignition wires and NGK V-Power (v-groove) spark plugs. They're all gapped to .44 ...
If you need any more info to help diagnose, please let me know.
Misfire on cylinder 3... un-fun
