Help needed, setting required for setting up a Microtech ECM

Post by gtwoo'd »

Im getting a Microtech ECM piggybacked into my Lanos 1.5L 8v Turbo, but Microtech need to know some details so they can set it up for me. My problems is im not sure what the answers are.

"What type of crank sensor it have or does it have a crank & a cam sensor & how many teeth are on each one?"

"What type of coils? A single coil, 2 dual post coils or 4 individual coilpacks?"

Any help would be great.

Thanks

What type of crank sensor?

not sure about the type but i am sure some one arround here does.

does it have a crank & a cam sensor?

depends on your car, you got a crank position sensor for sure. you just have to check your engine to see if you got a crank position sensor... if you do it will be plugged to the port right behind the plastic cam belt cover and facing the fuel rail.

how many teeth are on each one?

no idea... you can count the ones on the crank pully from under the car but for the cam you got to remove the upper cover of the timing belt to be able to do the count.

What type of coils?

dual post coils
