I had a CEL a few weeks back in March that came back positive for a bad Cam Position Sensor. When I went to get it scanned, it came back with a bad cam position sensor. They cleared it and it hasn't come back.

Do you guys think that this could potentially be the issue?

even if its isnt the issue you should get it replaced, i was told that the bad CPS could potentially cause a fire, and im sure you dont want you car to burn down

i don't think they are related... many people had CMP issues but didn't experiance the VGIS issue you are having.

VGIS reloaded

Post by Daniel »

Hi gents,

Can you confirm what I've find on my Nubira VGIS system?

From idle to approx 4.000 rpm the solenoid is activated and I get -8m of water column on the VGIS actuator's diaphragm.
Above 4.000rpm the solenoid disengage and release the VGIS actuator.

Is that the correct way to switch from long runners to short one's?

as far as i know... yes.

long runners are for low end torque and short ones are for high end HP so that means your VGIS is working perfictly.
