Ripspeed's Nissan S13 Drift Racer

Post by Rodd1s »

Late Friday morning I went for a little drive down to my local Ripspeed branch with a few friends to see what they are getting up to these days. Here's what we saw:

Image

The picture doesn't really so much, but that engine was completely taken apart, resprayed and powder-coated and then rebuilt by hand. At the time they were installing the Alternator. It also has a 6 inch diameter FreeFlow exhaust, Pipercross Viper cold air induction kit and loads of other goodies.

Wouldn't it be nice if stock engine bays could look that good?

Yeah same here... they're sick as hell...

As a matter of fact someone with a RHD S13 was at this party last weekend with an RB20... It was some sick stuff... Burnt out forever... Also, around town there are a bunch of s13 with SR20's in them... but the RB20 and RB25 are freaking awesome... IMO, better than the SR's...

the RB's are deffinitely better than the SR's... consider the RB26DETT engine found in the Skyline R33 GTR... that is one mad engine with the ability to reach around 1000+ bhp.

R32, R33 and R34 :) It's said to have suported 600 hp with stock internals. Don't forget RB means racing breed actually.

I too am a big Nissan fan myself. For my second car I want to get a Nissan 200SX S14a... but that won't be for at least another 3 to 5 years, so I'll be here for quite a while.
Not really a big Honda fan either, the only area of Honda that I like are their Civic's "rev-happy" engines.

The only Nissans I've ever really been really excited about have been the Skylines... especially the R34 (*drool*)

The R34 truly is a beast! lol

Are they hard to find in other places of the world? because here in the UK you can pick up a stock R34 GT-T (RearWheelDrive) for around ?10,000 - ?15,000
For example, here is one on EBay now: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-Skyline-R3 ... dZViewItem

It's quite expensive in spain. Several modifications must be made in order to make that car road legal in spain. It's easier to have a brand new M3.

im not a fan of the boxy skyline look, i do like the car but not the look..

there was a prototype skyline 6-7 years back that they were thinking about making into production and it was nice.. but then some how it became the new 350z but not completly.. the prototype looked better then the 350z.. i wish i had the picture of it still.. it was so nice
